Robertson leaves around 8 a.m. everyday to arrive at work for his 2 p.m. shift, which ends at 10 p.m. He catches the closing bus towards Detroit at 1 a.m. and doesn’t get to his home before 4 a.m. He says a prayer when he arrives home safe each nigh, walking during the dangerous space alongside 8 Mile. Despite all this, he nonetheless manages to have a pristine attendance document and does not whinge.

“That is obviously more than just a car now,” he said. “It could develop into one thing way greater than that. Perhaps he might use this cash to maneuver out and transfer elsewhere…We have had a Chevy dealership in addition to Honda corporate. Each one of them wants to donate a car to him. So he can use this cash for whatever else he desires.”
